Ellis Joins NIGMS
Joe Ellis
recently joined the National Institute of General Medical
Sciences as chief of the Grants Administration Branch, where he
will be responsible for managing the business aspects of grants. He
hopes to "improve the operations and efficiency of grants
management and promote effective relationships with the scientific
community that applies for and is supported by NIGMS grants." He
comes from the National Institute on Aging, where he served as
chief of the Grants and Contracts Management Office for 10 years.
Prior to joining NIA, he worked as a supervisory grants
management specialist at NHLBI and as an accountant and auditor
in the Office of Contracts Management, NIH.
