Meyer To Direct NCRR Office of Review
John Meyer has been named director of the Office of Review at
the National Center for Research Resources. He will oversee the
office where, for the past 4 years, he has served most recently as
deputy director and before that as a scientific review
administrator. He will provide direction and coordination of the
initial scientific and technical review conducted at NCRR
involving applications for grants and contract research. Meyer has
a long tenure at NIH, with 27 years of federal service. Before
coming to NCRR, he served as an SRA with the Division of
Extramural Activities, NCI; executive secretary with the Division
of Extramural Activities, NIAID; executive secretary with the
Division of Research Grants; and research scientist at NIDCR.
Before joining NIH, he was a consultant with the Mayo Clinic and
Mayo Foundation.
