Dr. Eugene Vigil recently joined the Center for Scientific Review as
a scientific review administrator in the cell development and function
initial review group. He will be responsible for review of applications
for instrumentation grants, predoctoral minority (F31) fellowships,
and other specialized grant programs. Previously, Vigil was at
NIGMS, where he was program director of the Minority Biological
Research Support Program. Prior to his appointment at NIGMS, he
was a plant physiologist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture,
where he studied the effect of drought stress on cotton seed and
fiber maturity.
